Wedding Make-up Must Haves for Brides

Ensure you look your most beautiful on your wedding day by packing these bridal make up essentials into your make-up bag.

The Big Curl - Eyelash curlers
Curling your eyelashes before applying mascara will make your lashes look longer and your eyes more defined in your wedding photographs

Waterproof Mascara
Mascara is essential as it opens up the eyes giving a bright, wide-awake look. But make sure it's a waterproof mascara to get you through those weepy moments. A bride with big panda eyes is not the look you are going for!

Long-lasting lipstick
A long-lasting lipstick that doesn't dry out the lips is a must-have. Test these lip sticks beforehand. Lovers of glossy lips beware: gloss will make for a sticky just married kiss, so go as matte as you dare.

Make-up brushes
Avoid applying foundation and eye-shadow with your fingers, as the natural oils in your skin could spoil your even coverage. Invest in some good make up brushes instead to ensure make up goes on smoothly.

Foundation primer
Prepare your skin properly by wearing a foundation primer. Not only does it make your skin smooth, it will also help keep your make-up in place until the end of the wedding reception.

Blusher/bronzer
For a subtle blush that will look lovely in wedding photos, add some colour to your cheeks with either a pink flush or a sun-kissed glow.

Concealer
To combat any blemishes you may have on your wedding day, choose a concealer that matches your skin tone and foundation exactly. A concealer that is too light will flag up an imperfection rather than hide it. Can we say it again......test, test, test way ahead of your wedding day.

False eyelashes
There's no need to wear ugly, false looking falsies, but applying a few single lashes for extra emphasis is a great bridal trick and the perfect way to perk up eyes.

Perfume
You're not properly made up until you're wearing a fabulous fragrance. Just make sure you don't completely douse yourself in it, or wear anything that's too overpowering. Try spraying your hair as well as your skin.
